Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO) is a famous American rock band established in 1996 by producer, composer, and lyricist Paul O'Neill. He founded the orchestra by bringing together Jon Oliva and Al Pitrelli and keyboardist and co-producer Robert Kinkel in the core of the team. They released their debut album, St. Anger, in 2000. This was followed by a second album and a tour, The Lost Tapes of St Anger. The band's third album Viva Voce was released in July 2002. After a year of hiatus, they began work on the band's next album. When O'Neill and the rest of TSO parted ways in 2006, the four remaining members continued the group's work under the name Trans-Europe Express. Their fourth album was planned to be released through Spinefarm Records, but due to conflicts with the label, it was delayed and released on June 16, 2009. At this point, O'Neill no longer had any involvement with TSE.
