About The Who

The Who are a famous English rock music band founded in London in 1964. Their classic lineup included lead singer Roger Daltrey, guitarist and singer Pete Townshend, bass guitarist and singer John Entwistle, and drummer Keith Moon. The band's music combines elements of rock, blues, psychedelia, folk, R&B, soul, jazz, funk, hip hop, punk and heavy metal. Although they were originally known as The Who, they later decided to change their name to simply The Worshipful Company of Schools. They recorded a number of albums during their career, including The Kids Are Alright (1966) and Houses of the Holy (1967).

On 28 August 2017, it was announced that the band would reunite in 2019 for an eight-date UK tour. Also in October, the WPCSS album I Am the Man was released, followed by the group's first album in 23 years, The Planets (2019). During the first half of 2019, in addition to performing live as a band, Pete's wife Ann-Marie, who has two young daughters, announced she was taking a break from the musical project due to the long-term health issues she had been experiencing.
