About Pentatonix Group

Pentatonix is a famous American Cappella group from Arlington, Texas. They currently consist of vocalists Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kirstin Maldonado, Kevin Olusola, and Matt Sallee. As an all-male group, Pentatonis have had a great deal of success as a live act, most notably on the 2011 CMA Awards, where the group performed in the final performance of the C.M.A. Awards at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. In addition to their live performances, the Pentatone's have released several albums, including 2008's The Pentateuch and 2009's No Way to Go. They also have a number of charting singles, such as "Never Let You Go," "Won't Get Fooled Again," and "Do What You Gotta Do."

In 2007, Scott and Mitch also released a tribute album to the band, titled The Rise and Fall of Penta. It is currently out of print and unknown to most fans. Additionally, in May 2012, they released the compilation album The Final Years: C-C-Can You Hear Us Now? A Collection of Hits, B-Sides, & More from The '90s. Their final appearance on CMT's Top 40 Countdown was on April 23, 2012. On May 11, 2013, a special live edition of CMP's hit program, C'mon Mountain Music, was released. The show was filmed in September 2012 and features Scott, Matt, Jim Salley, and Kirsten in a performance with the entire band. This special was only available on VHS. The band's music video for "No Way To Go" was the top video on MTV in 2014. For the following year, on January 10, 2015, an album was also issued by Capitol Records. Called The Lost Years, it was produced by Scott's brother, Mark Hoying, who is also the main producer on Pentatonix.
