About Dead And Company Rock Band

Dead And Company is a famous American rock band consisting of former Grateful Dead members Bob Weir for guitar and vocals, drums player Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann, along with John Mayer for guitar and vocals, Oteil Burbridge for bass, percussion, and vocals), and keyboard player Jeff Chimenti. As the name suggests, they are a cover band, but they have also performed live as a full band. In 2003, the band released their only official studio album, What I Want. The album was produced by Bob Daisley and mixed by Jon Brion. A cover version of the song "I Won't Run Away" by the Grateful group, The Band's The Sounds, was released on an iTunes exclusive, as well as on The iTunes Store. On August 4, 2017, Jerry Garcia passed away at the age of 83. Bob Egan has since continued to perform with his own band called Jerry's All-Starrs.

In November 2018, it was announced that the group had reunited for a performance at Newport Folk Festival, which was held on December 7, 2018. They were joined on stage by The Beatles, Queen, Bon Jovi, and others. However, on February 11, 2020, lead singer Jerry E. said that they had disbanded, having completed the touring. He also mentioned that Jerry had passed it along to him. It was later revealed that he was referring to his band had disbanded. After that, their website was taken down. Emancipation Day was the final show to be played by Egon Item as the last band to play in Eton Ballroom.
